Picholiya is a small village of 1885 hectares in Peesangan Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Picholiya depends on Pushkar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 348.84% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Picholiya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Picholiya's pin code is 305022[4], and village code is 02509400. The area of Picholiya is segregated as 348.84 hectares irrigated area, 785.67 hectares unirrigated, the 574.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Picholiya has One post office (Picholia B.O) and Fifteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Picholiya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Picholiya is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4264 and has total administration over 812 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pushkar and Ajmer to sell ghee and make their living.
