"Phool Ji" , "Phool G" or "Phool Gee" is an artist name of Mr. Syed Phool Badshah (Syed[1] = His family name, Phool = Flower[2] & Badshah = King[3]) named by her grand mother "The king of flowers". Influenced by his name Phool Ji gained a special love and affection for flowers and at the age of 12 he started visiting "Garden", an area of Karachi which was earlier the biggest truck stand of Karachi, where started assisting his Master "Muhammad Shahid" in painting flowers of trucks.
Phool Ji is professionally a truck artist who is best known for his unique style of doing Fine Arts with Truck art.[4]
Early Life
Phool Ji was born in 1980 at an area named Golimar in Karachi[5] City located in province Sindh[6] which is the business hub of Pakistan, near to his home was the biggest truck stand of that time, Phool Ji started visiting his Master M. Shahid at the age of 12 to learn mixing and painting flowers.
M. Shahid was the 1st ever truck artist who reached Karachi after partition in 1947. M. Shahid is the founder of modern truck art he first introduced ornament design in Truck Art, All of the known Truck Artists based in Karachi are students of M. Shahid.
After M.Shahid, his youngest student Phool Ji took responsibility for promoting Pakistani Truck Art, Phool Ji established his Truck Art Academy at his home.
