Philippe Kress (born July 27, 1972) is a Danish film photographer. He is a graduate from European Film College[1] (Denmark) in 1996 and Maine Photographic workshop[2] (USA) in 1997, and from National Film and TV school[3] (UK) in 2001

Life and career

Philippe Kress lives in Charlottenlund and is married to Anita Lindberg Kress. Together they have two children: Marcel Kress (born April 17, 2002) and Tristan Kress (born February 22, 2006)

His parents are of mixed nationalities. His father Jean Kress is French and his mother, Lili Kress is of Danish descent. His brother Eric Kress is also a renowned film photographer, while his sister Marianne Kress is the former Danish ambassador to Mali.

Philippe Kress works in many Danish and international contexts. The Bafta-nominated "King Charles III"[4] is from the UK, "Beatles", nominated for an Amanda for best photo, is Norwegian and "Rosa Morena"[5][6] is filmed in Sao Paolo, Brazil, addressing complex issues in a cross-culture setting. Philippe Kress has also worked on a myriad of high profile Danish and foreign films, TV series, as well as documentaries and short films.
