Phalsoond is a small village of 2381 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Phalsoond depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Phalsoond is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Phalsoond's pin code is 345025[4], and village code is 02065000. The area of Phalsoond is segregated as 1944 hectares unirrigated, the 322 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 115 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Phalsoond is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4482 and has total administration over 854 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell ghee and make their living.
