Phạm Quang Huy (born 1996 in Hai Phong) is a Vietnamese sports shooter. In 2023, Quang Huy became the first Vietnamese athlete to win a gold medal in shooting at an Asian Games event, at the 2022 Hangzhou Games (The ASIAD 19 Games). [1]
Career
Phạm Quang Huy achievements include:
- Gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol event Men's teammates at Sea Games 31.
- In 2016, won 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal at the 2016 National Youth Championship, 1 individual silver medal, 2 team gold medals at the 2016 Southeast Asian Youth Championship.
- In 2017, the shooter won 4 individual gold medals, 2 individual bronze medals, 3 team bronze medals at the 2017 National Youth Championship. In addition, he won an individual bronze medal at the 2017 National Outstanding Shooter Award.
- At the end of 2017, participated in the Asian Air Gun Championship.
- Bronze medal in shooting 10m air rifle team event Asiad 2023. [2]
- Gold medal in 10m pistol shooting event Asiad 2023. [3][4]
Personal Life
Quang Huy's family consists of four members who all sports shooter. His father is shooter Phạm Cao Sơn, his mother is national shooter Đặng Thị Hằng, and his younger brother is athlete Phạm Đăng Quang. [5]
