Peter Zaccagnino is a professional air racer,[1] aeronautical engineer,[2] author,[3] and filmmaker[4] originally from New Brunswick, New Jersey.[5] Zaccagnino is the founder and CEO of Park City Aviators, an aircraft management company.[6] He is a graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.[7]
Competing since his debut in 2005,[8] Zaccagnino is a four-time gold champion at the STIHL National Championship Air Races, with victories in the Sport class in 2007[9] and in the Jet class in 2013,[10] 2015,[11] and 2019,[12] and has been a panelist at AirVenture.[13] Zaccagnino has flown over 24,000 hours in more than 270 aircraft types.[14] He was inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame of New Jersey in 2019.[15]
In March 2020, Zaccagnino published his first novel, Relevant: A Military Thriller Inspired By True Events.[16] He released the second book in the Relevant series, The New Cold War: Defending Democracy From Russia’s Secret Tech Weapon, in October 2021.[17] Zaccagnino was a lead cast member on the Discovery Channel’s Dangerous Flights program.[18]
