Davidson and C. Girard (“Jebby”) Davidson. Davidson’s grandfather Jacob Merrill (“Jack”) Kaplan[7] pioneered the cooperative form of business creation and reorganized and headed Welch’s Grape Juice Company, which remains a farmer-owned co-op.

Career
Early in his career, Davidson was an executive in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley & Co. He left in the early 1990s and founded and/or managed six media companies serving the Hispanic market, including ownership of el Diario/La Prensa,[8] New York City’s largest Spanish-language newspaper, as well as three Univision-affiliated TV stations, 50+ radio stations[9], and Vista Media, Inc., the largest US Hispanic focused out of home advertising company. After 20 years in the private sector as an entrepreneur, CEO, and investor, Davidson began a second career in government service.
In 2009, he joined the government of the State of New York, becoming the Executive Director of the Empire State Development Corporation (ESDC),[10][11] where he oversaw such large-scale projects as Brooklyn Bridge Park,[12] Governors Island,[13] Moynihan Station, the Javits convention center, and the Atlantic Yards Development Corporation[14] and Queens West Development Corporation.

From 2015-2018, Peter served as CEO of the global climate infrastructure advisory firm Aligned Intermediary, Inc[16]. Aligned Intermediary was later restructured and became Aligned Climate Capital.

In addition to rigorous investment analysis, Aligned incorporates thorough environmental, social, and governance (ESG) screens throughout its investment process and asset management.
