Peter Odunade (born January 26, 1987), popularly known as Heph B, is a Afro-Caribbean singer, songwriter and Producer. Heph B is a Multi award winning artist originally from NJ/New York. . He his the CEO of Da Anointed Records/Ent. He his widely known for his 2017 smashing Hit Single L.A.M.N(Look At Me Now) ft one of Nigeria's biggest producers Masterkraft. In 2010 he won Best Upcoming Artist in New Jersey, In 2016 He won another award at the 'Music Love Awards' in Arkansas for Best HipHop Artist, later in 2016 he was also Nominated for Best Holy HipHop Artist . Even after rebranding and changing his sound from HipHop to Afro-dancehall and Reggae in 2015 he grew more fans globally. In 2019 he was recognized by his label Da Anointed Records awarding him King of AFRO-DANCEHALL ARTIST in Houston which eventually led to another recognization as the Best Reggae/Afro-dancehall Artist of the year in Houston Texas..

Life and music career

Heph B started playing the drums at age 5 and then he picked up the piano at 12yrs old . He attended Orange High School New Jersey.There he studied Theatre Art Aspiring to be an actor with so many stage play performances under his belt. He'd received different scholarships to study Theater Art, but Unfortunately his step-father had influenced his dreams of becoming an actor at 12th grade which led to his new major Accounting/finance in College. Heph B attended Essex County College and in 2008 later transferred to William Paterson University.He began his Musical career at 15 singing in the church choir, playing the drums and also rapping at his church Youth events and so many churches around the New Jersey and New York area. Making him a well known gospel rapper or inspirational rapper. He released his first Album Independently Tiled "Amazing Grace" at age 22 produced by his friend Samuel Laoye with hit like 'GET LOOSE'. He won Best Upcoming Artist 2010 which gave him more platforms and exposure in New Jersey, New York and all the East Coast Areas as he continued to pursue further in his musical career. As the years goes by in 2015 Heph B moved to Houston Texas re-branded himself and changed his sound as he fully embraced his roots and culture being that he was raised in both Nigerian and Jamaican homes.

Musical career

2004-2014. He started off his musical journey as rapper even tho we all know he's a gifted Drummer and keyboardist. He has been seen opening and performed alongside with so many major Inspirational/Gospel rappers with the likes of Lacrae Canton Jones B-Luv and many more, around New Jersey and in the U.S. This earned him the Award of Best Upcoming Inspirational Rapper. His biggest theme song Get Loose off his Debut Album Amazing Grace in 2009 caught so many attention each and every time he performs on stage the crowd loves it. He moved to Chicago in 2010 as he Continued his musical journey with nationwide performances at different festivals,Concert and shows creating more awareness with his music.

2015-2016 He Re-branded and fully changed his sound as he stated in an interview 'I love my culture and my upbringing so why not embrace it and use it to my benefit". There he started releasing Dancehall songs with the Afro-fusion mix and Reggae.He also collaborated with one of Nigeria biggest producer Masterkraft on his hit song L.A.M.N

2017-2019 Heph B released another Album RISING ABOVE ALL with singles such as FOR YOU ft Morientez . In May 2017 his label put together a massive Concert in August-town Jamaica "African Invasion' bringing together both the Jamaican Artists and African Afrobeats acts on one platform. Later that year he performed on stage at one of the biggest Afrobeats concert in the U.S One Africa Music Festat the Houston's Toyota Center with Banky W. He continued to release numerous singles hits like 911(Emergency Only) ft Sugarboy . Summer of 2019 he released a smashing hit single "SODI" aka Bum Bum which ft Ojayy Wright & Morientez. This single became a trending song via social media as lot of his female fans started off a competition called the #BumBumChallenge. He's opened and performed alongside with many Top Afrobeats and Reggae/Dancehall Artists in Houston and all around the world with the likes of Wizkid Davido Romain Virgo Burna Boy Agent Sasco CDQ Runtown and many more. Heph B toured with Burna Boy on his African Giant US Tour Shutting down each city with his electrifying stage performance.

2020 He Released a new project EP called 50/50 The-Ep . This is collective sounds of Afrobeats and Dancehall which featured the Jamaican King of Dancehall Vybz Kartel and other artist such as Ojayy Wright, Kobi Jonz, and Morientez.

Personal life

Heph B has 4 children (Ivie, Aubrey, Amarii and Adriel). He his Married to the Motunrayo Odunade and he his known to be one of the most Amazing Artist with a distinct sound, numerous Awards and Nominations under his belt as he continue to work hard in his music career.
