Peter Maybury (born 1969) is an Irish multidisciplinary artist,[1] most noted for his work in typography[2] [3]and graphic design[4][5]

Work

Peter has been involved in a number of publications in the world of art,[6] architecture[7] and music.[8][9] Peter's works have also been shown in the Irish Museum of Modern Art[10] and the Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin.[11]

Peter is a longstanding collaborator with Tom dePaor, involving a number of exhibitions,[12][13] including the Irish pavilions at the 2008 and 2010 Venice Biennales.[14][15] Their Gall imprint has also published 12 titles to date.[16][17]

Peter is also a noted film-maker, including work shown at ETH Zurich,[18] and the Venice Architecture Biennale.[19]

Music

Peter has released music under many aliases with his best known Hard Sleeper,[20][21] and Thread Pulls,[22] alongside releases as Peter Maybury. Peter’s design for the Thread Pulls’ album New Thoughts was included in an exhibition of album cover designs in The National Print Museum.[23]
