Pete Freeland (born November 29, 1965, Portland, Oregon) is an American actor and astronaut.
Early life and education
Pete Freeland was born in Portland, Oregon to Bill and Dori Freeland. He was raised near Salem and spent most of his young life on a small farm in Aumsville, Oregon. Freeland graduated from Cascade High School in 1984[1] and from the University of Southern California[2] in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering. He graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.[3]
Career
He was a member of the PoSSUM Scientist-Astronaut Qualification Program that was created by teachers who used to work for NASA.[4]
Freeland played a role in the family movie called In The Name of God.[5] He won the Silver Award for Best Acting Ensemble for the short film Rumrunners in June 2021.[6]
