Penawa is a small village of 980 hectares in Pali Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Penawa depends on Rani, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Penawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Penawa's pin code is 306708[4], and village code is 02437800. The area of Penawa is segregated as 16 hectares irrigated area, 494.05 hectares unirrigated, the 375 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 95 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Rani and Pali to sell coal and make their living.
