Pedro Schmidt (born September 7, 1998) is an Spanish-United States of American Wide Receiver Football player. He played college football at North Dakota Fighting Hawks football and Rhode Island Rams football.

Early life & high school

Schmidt moved to the United States of America with his mother. Schmidt attended Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania [1] [2] where he played both wide receiver and outside linebacker. Schmidt also played basketball, ran track, and holds the school record for the 4x100-meter relay.

College career

North Dakota

Schmidt was a member of the North Dakota Fighting Hawks football [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] for four seasons and a member of the North Dakota Fighting Hawks men’s track and field[8] for one season.

2017

Schmidt was on the track team as a sprinter/hurdler during his true freshmen football season and redshirted.[9]

2018

As a redshirt freshman, he played in seven of eleven games as a reserve wide receiver and on special teams.

2019

As a redshirt sophomore, he played in nine of twelve games as a wide receiver and on special teams. [10] [11]

2020

As a redshirt junior, the North Dakota Fighting Hawks football|North Dakota Fighting Hawks Football season was canceled for the 2020 fall season. Schmidt was granted an extra year of eligibility. [12]

2021

Schmidt entered the transfer portal. [13] [14]

Rhode Island

In 2022, Schmidt transferred [15] [16] [17]and became a member of the Rhode Island Rams football|Rhode Island Rams Football[18] [19] [20] as a graduate transfer for one season.

Personal life

Schmidt was born in Santa Isabel and moved to the United States of America with his mother. Schmidt graduated from the University of North Dakota completing a degree in Computer Science Engineering spring of 2021.[21] [22]
