Paulo Gomes (soccer coach)
Carlos Paulo Cardoso Gomes Caçote (born March 31, 1975, in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal), known as Paulo Gomes, is a former football player in the midfield position, and is currently, exclusively, a Coach (sport).

It was at FC RM Hamm Benfica between 2008 and 2009[2] that he ended his career in the European Superliga of Luxembourg.
Acting as a commentator
During 2016, Paulo Gomes was a commentator[3] for Euro 2016, for the Bom Dia Europa website; the year in which he had no contract and was even recommended by supporters for FC Etzella Ettelbruck.[4]
Coach career
In the summer of 2009, after playing with the youth team of Hamm Benfica, Paulo Gomes acted for the first time as a coach, being assigned to FC Blue Boys Mühlenbach, in the third division, and helping the club to move up to the Segunda Liga. In 2012/2013, he managed to repeat the feat with the US Sandweiler of the Segunda Liga, and, before the end of the season,[5] he was transferred to the Super League, under Union Titus Pétange,[2] which he left in 2013.[6]
Paulo Gomes continued to work in Luxembourg's major leagues in the following years, with RM Hamm Benfica[7], from which he left in 2014,[8][9]the Mühlenbach Luzitanos[10], and finally with US Mondorf[11] [12], for which he also invited his fellow countryman, João Coimbra, to join the team of players [13]. He ended his contract with the latter club in 2019[14], before the end of the season[15], unexpectedly, despite the success so far. He then decided to have an experience in Asia, then in Saudi Arabia[16], at the clubs Al Wehda FC and Najran SC[17]. In the last season of 21/22, Paulo Gomes won the title with Al Khaleej FC from Saudi Arabia.

Performance by US Mondorf
In a total of 26 appearances for US Mondorf, for which he was signed in June 2018[24], he obtained the following results for the club: champion, for the first time, of the F91 Dudelange, by 4 x 1; winner of the top 6 championship teams; 11 wins and 3 draws.
He ended his contract with this club in April 2019[25].

Future goals
Paulo Gomes revealed a desire to work in Brazil[27]. This desire arose when he completed the CBF[28] pro license course, a requirement to work there. He showed admiration for the talent of Brazilian players and coaches:
"Brazilian football has a lot of quality and is extremely competitive, an example is now with another gold medal at the Olympics. We live in an increasingly global football and in my opinion Brazilian football is an excellent product for international markets".[27]
