Paul Vigario (born February 23, 1981) is an American entrepreneur, healthcare technologist, keynote speaker and advisor. He is considered a pioneer for introducing technology systems in dental practice and dental office automation. Vigario is a serial entrepreneur who has founded a number of companies and products including SurfCT, a world renown dental technology integration company; and Surf Robotics, a robotics dental company. Under his vision and leadership, SurfCT has seen immense growth from 2003 as a dental technology firm and leveraged industry relationships, specialized private practice healthcare knowledge and advanced technology to help its clients reach unparallel success globally. He has held C-level positions for several well-known dental companies and has helped them grow into multiple fold under his guidance.[1]
Vigario is a board member of Surf.Design. In June 2017, Vigario was named as CEO of DSD Global, a global business known to redefine the possibilities in the dental industry. He has often been named as the “King of Dental Technology”, by the high-tier media outlets and earned recognition in the dental industry for introducing software, specialized ergonomics, patient information systems, smile design technology, cloud technology, and healthcare networks systems to name a few of his major contributions to dentistry and the dental industry. Many of these innovations and technology contributions have crossed over into optometry, plastic surgery, med spas and other private practice in which doctors have asked Vigario for help with his vision that Everything Is Connected™ [2]
Paul Vigario also serves as a system design expert and consultant to multiple companies, dental and medical schools, dental groups, universities, and societies.
Early life and education
Vigario completed his graduation in management and computers with a focus on healthcare technology from the University of Connecticut. He gained intensive training early in his career and over 20,000 hours of job experience, which helped him become an expert in digital workflow systems, medical and dental practice automation, healthcare digital strategies and practice growth technologies.
Career
In 2003, Vigario founded SurfCT.com during his graduation years and since founding, the company has been named as a leader in technical development, complete systems integration, and technology education and support for the dental industry. It has helped thousands of doctors, small, medium and large practices, and dental companies to automate and grow in an exponential manner. He is often cited as ambitious and far-sighted by media outlets for his vision that health care digitization, automation and patient centric care will be the need of the future. Right after the founding, Vigario has offered exciting new processes to his customers, their patients and to businesses to provide modern, innovative, reliable, informative, and quality healthcare technology driven care.[3]
Vigario’s vision of introducing technology to the dental and healthcare industry has helped SurfCT to build a slew of clients. Under his leadership, the company started offering end to end dental and medical solutions including artificial intelligence, digital marketing, digital workflows, office automation, paperless office, imaging systems, 3D printing, practice design, practice specific technology. technical IT support, data protection programs and other world-class niche game changing services for doctors and private practice. Vigario’s company has helped several dentists and doctors to help them grow their business at all levels. In 2016, he was elected as a member of DSD Global for his business accomplishments by its board and within the next six months, he was unanimously named as the CEO of the DSD Global. Vigario has lectured at NYU, the University of Illinois at Chicago, Tufts University, Nova Southeastern University and Stony Brook University. In media interviews, he has often expressed giving back to the community and donating time and money to youth health care programs and other non-profit organizations.[5]
Personal Life
Vigario's indigenous belong to Portugal. He speaks fluent Portuguese and maintains a home in Portugal. He also maintains a residency in New York, Connecticut, and California. He has a 3 year old daughter named Ainara Vigario that was born in 2016. He enjoys traveling and can be seen with his daughter often during all his travels as he has full custody of her.
