Paul Ludwinski (born April 23, 2004) is a Canadian professional ice hockey center for the Rockford IceHogs in the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect to the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Blackhawks in the second round, 39th overall, of the 2022 NHL entry draft.[1]
Playing career
Junior
Ludwinski played his junior hockey for the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League beginning in the 2021-22 season. He achieved his junior career highs with 23 goals and 46 assists (69 points) in 60 games in the 2023-24 season.[2] As a young player, Ludwinski ironically idolized Patrick Kane, who played for the team he would eventually be drafted by. [3]
Professional
Ludwinski signed his three-year entry-level contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on April 3, 2023.[4]
In his debut season with the Rockford IceHogs in the 2024–25 AHL season he tallied 7 goals and 5 assists in 65 games plus another goal and an assist in 7 playoff games.
On September 27, 2025, Ludwinski was sent back for a second season in Rockford.[5] On October 22, 2025, the IceHogs announced that Ludwinski would miss the remainder of the 2025-26 AHL season with a left knee injury.[6]
