Paul Werner Glaser (born 14 December 1963) is an international theater director, writer, and composer.
He is currently the Managing and Artistic Director of The English Theatre of Hamburg, "Germany’s oldest professional English language theatre."[1]
In November 2023, Glaser received the Theaterpreis Hamburg – Rolf Mares, for his The English Theater production of The Pride, a play by Alexi Kaye Campbell, "... celebrating the diversity and openness of society, which needs to be defended today more than ever."[2]
Early life
Glaser was born in 1963 in Uppsala, Sweden[3]. Born into a family of music and theater, Glaser's grandfather was German-Swedish composer, conductor, pianist, and poet Werner Wolf Glaser. His uncle is Swedish actor and director Etienne Glaser|de

Personal life
Paul Glaser is married to Petter Bjällö|de. He has one son, with Ingela Santesson, who is the mother of Awa Santesson-Sey, the winner of the Swedish 2012 TV production of The X Factor.[12] His son is married, with three children.
