Patrik Křivánek is a Czech film director, producer, and screenwriter.
Early life
He was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on 24 October, 1987. He studied film directing and screenwriting at the University of South Wales|Film & TV School Wales, formerly Newport Film School, and at London's University of Westminster|Westminster Film School, graduating in 2020. During his studies, he became a member of BAFTA Cymru|BAFTA Wales, a member of the British Film Institute, and a member of the Royal Television Society.[1]. Between 2018 and 2019, he was also the Vice President of the Westminster Film Society and Director of the Westminster Film Festival. [2]
His experience includes working on many short and feature films, high-end commercials, and television programs. The films he has written, directed, or produced either won or were nominated for awards at the internationally recognized film festivals all around the world - including Los Angeles, New York, Austin, Toronto, London, Berlin, Cardiff, Oxford, and Prague.[3][4]

Feature films In 2017, he worked as an Assistant Director [6] on the Czech feature film Smiles of Sad Men, which launched into cinemas in 2018 and winning the Czech Lion Award (Film Fans Award) in 2019.[7]. Together with the director Dan Svatek, he is now producing a new feature drama Two Words as the Key, to be shot all around the world.
As a director, producer, and writer, he is also preparing his feature debut film, psychological war drama Muddy Shoes with an expected cinema release in 2023.
