Patau Kalan is a small village of 1741 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patau Kalan depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patau Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Patau Kalan's pin code is 344032[4], and village code is 02149000.
