Patasar is a small village of 3122 hectares in Pachpadra Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patasar depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patasar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Patasar's pin code is 344026[4], and village code is 02152300. The area of Patasar is segregated as 2906 hectares unirrigated, the 80 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 136 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Patasar has One post office (Bagawas B.O) and Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Patasar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Patasar is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2187 and has total administration over 387 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
