Patan Kalan is a small village of 313 hectares in Tijara Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Patan Kalan depends on TIJARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Patan Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Patan Kalan's pin code is 301411[4], and village code is 00805900. The area of Patan Kalan is segregated as 161 hectares irrigated area, 64 hectares unirrigated, the 45 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 36 hectare area not available for cultivation.
