Partapur is a small village of 253 hectares in Behror Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Partapur depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 98.30% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Partapur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Partapur's pin code is 301704[4], and village code is 00753900. The area of Partapur is segregated as 98.3 hectares irrigated area, 121.96 hectares unirrigated, the 17.41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14.89 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
