Pareu is a small village of 1005 hectares in Baytoo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pareu depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pareu is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Pareu's pin code is 344032[4], and village code is 02118900. The area of Pareu is segregated as 930 hectares unirrigated, the 30 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 44.77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
