Papra is a small village of 1897 hectares in Indragarh Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Papra depends on INDRAGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 40.05% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Papra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Papra's pin code is 323614[3], and village code is 02733700. The area of Papra is segregated as 106.1 hectares irrigated area, 279.5 hectares unirrigated, the 409.5 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 149.33 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of INDRAGARH and Bundi to sell ghee and make their living.
