Panthal is a small village of 221 hectares in Dungarpur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Panthal depends on Dungarpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Panthal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Panthal's pin code is 314801[4], and village code is 03295100. The area of Panthal is segregated as 18.08 hectares irrigated area, 43.56 hectares unirrigated, the 37.71 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 121.16 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Dungarpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
