Pankaj Saraswat is born in Maharashtra and hails from a Saraswat Brahmin family. who began his career as a writer.

Pankaj Saraswat married actress Tejaswini Kolhapure They had a daughter in 2015.

He began his journey through a television show called "The Great Indian Laughter Challenge" . A show which brought not only a huge change on Indian television but also provided employment to out of work mimicry, and artists from tier 2 and 3 showcasing rich talent from smaller cities.
