Pamela Mutembei (usually Pam; 1 May 1979) is a businesswoman who served as the Head of Banking Business at Credit Bank Limited, a national banking company based in Kenya.
Early life and education
Pamela was born in Nairobi and raised by her parents there. At the age of 15, she started attending St. George's Girls High School.[citation needed] Upon leaving school, she was offered a place at University of Allahabad in India. In 2018 she did the Strategic Management in a Global Economy course at London School of Economics.
Career
From 2004, Pamela worked in various positions in the banking sector in Kenya, including work for Online Insurance Brokers Inc, Commercial Bank of Africa. In 2007 she was picked up as a Customer Service Officer then Senior Customer Service Officer at Chase Bank Kenya Limited. In 2009 she became the Senior Relationship Officer at Chase Bank Kenya Ltd. In 2010 she was appointed Branch Manager of Credit Bank Kenya Limited. In 2017 she became the Head of Banking Business for Credit Bank Kenya Limited[1]. In 2019 she founded TGBH, a financial services provider for women
Recognition
Pamela Mutembei was in 2015 nominated for the Rising Star Award where she was a semi-finalist.[2]. In 2019 Credit Bank of Kenya Limited won 3 awards in the Tier III banking sector[3].
