Holt has been profiled in major media outlets including CNN Travel and the Daily Mail for her global travels and personal journey following a serious car accident.
Education
She attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she studied Theater, Film, and Television.[1]
Career
Acting and early work
Holt began her entertainment career as an actress, appearing in several television series and films. Her acting credits include roles in TV shows such as "Lois and Clark" and "Family Matters."[1] Her film breakthrough came when director Adrian Lyne cast her as Woody Harrelson's girlfriend in the 1993 film "Indecent Proposal," which also starred Demi Moore and Robert Redford.[2] She also appeared in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story (1993), and had guest roles in TV series including Family Matters (1994), Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1995), and the film Clueless (1995).
As a singer, Holt performed a duet with Barry Manilow, "Baby It's Cold Outside," at the Hollywood Palladium for the KLOS "Mark & Brian Christmas Show," raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.[3]
From 2011 to 2020, Holt appeared in various film and TV roles including The Young and the Restless (2011), Disney's Just Roll with It (2019), and the science fiction thriller Proximity (2020).

Travel career and television
Me, Myself & The World
In 2023, Holt launched the travel docuseries Me, Myself & The World, in which she explores solo travel through firsthand experiences in countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. The show debuted on Amazon Prime, and continues to stream on Tubi, Roku, and other streaming platforms.[4] Holt coined the phrase “Solo stands for Seeking Out Life's Opportunities” to describe the show's underlying theme.
Eat, Drink, Play & Stay
In 2024, she began hosting Eat, Drink, Play & Stay, a regional travel show that focuses on food, drinks, and local attractions across the United States.[5]
Solo travel advocacy
Holt began traveling solo at age 19 and later committed to an “80 by 50 promise” - visiting 80 countries by the age of 50, a goal she achieved following recovery from a spinal surgery after a car accident. Her experiences have included visiting over 93 countries and territories, living in the Amazon rainforest, and traveling to the North Pole.
Personal life
Holt fulfilled her goal of visiting 80 countries before her 50th birthday, reaching Bhutan on her birthday in August 2019,[6] and continues to advocate for solo travel. Outside of travel, Holt enjoys rollerblading along the beaches of California, particularly from Playa Vista to Hermosa Beach.[7]
