Palra is a small village of 612 hectares in Tonk Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Palra depends on Tonk, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 51.34% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Palra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Palra's pin code is 304001[4], and village code is 02637000. The area of Palra is segregated as 157.69 hectares irrigated area, 267.13 hectares unirrigated, the 87.25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 99.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Palra has One post office (Palda B.O) and One public telephone. Palra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Palra is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 826 and has total administration over 133 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
