Palawa is a small village of 505 hectares in Mandawar Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Palawa depends on KHAIRTHAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 100.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Palawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Palawa's pin code is 301706[4], and village code is 00771900. The area of Palawa is segregated as 376 hectares irrigated area, 82 hectares unirrigated, the 4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 43 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHAIRTHAL and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
