Palara is a small village of 1076 hectares in Banda Tehsil in Banda district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Palara depends on CHILLA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Palara's pin code is 210123[4], and village code is 04787900. The area of Palara is segregated as 207.47 hectares irrigated area, 799.81 hectares unirrigated area. the 18.37 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 89.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of CHILLA and Banda to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
