Palapur is a small village of 136.9 hectares in Utraula Tehsil in Balrampur district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Palapur depends on Utraula (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Palapur's pin code is 271604[4], and village code is 06696000. The area of Palapur is segregated as 7.15 hectares irrigated area. the 0.16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 15.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.
