Pahara is a small village of 1894 hectares in Mavli Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pahara depends on Dhariawad, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include two taps, one Well supply, two tanks, two tubewells, and one handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - oneriver, two canals and two springs. Pahara is also surrounded by two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pahara's pin code is 313026[4], and village code is 03207400. The area of Pahara is segregated as 34.02 hectare irrigated area, 368 hectares unirrigated area, the 313 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 941 hectare area not available for cultivation.
