Padampura is a small village of 3411 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Padampura depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Padampura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Padampura's pin code is 345025[4], and village code is 02065700. The area of Padampura is segregated as 2828.06 hectares unirrigated, the 580 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 3.23 hectare area not available for cultivation.
