Oryx Motors[1] is an Algerian automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Algiers. It was founded in 2017 with the goal of becoming the first Algerian automaker. The company's first model, the Oryx Timgad[2], is a pick-up truck[3] that is powered by a 1.6L PSA gasoline engine. It is also equipped with ABS brakes, double airbags, and air conditioning.
Oryx Motors has partnered with several international suppliers, including PSA Powertrain and Valeo, to ensure that the Timgad meets international standards.[4][5][6][7][8][9]
Oryx Timgad
Oryx Timgad[10][11] is a pickup truck manufactured by Oryx Motors, an Algerian automobile manufacturer. It is the first model produced by the company, and was launched in 2017. The Timgad is a single-cab pickup truck with a 4x2 drivetrain. It is powered by a 1.6L PSA EC5 Flex engine, which produces 115 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Timgad is designed to be a robust and reliable pickup truck, with a simple and functional design. It features a galvanized steel chassis, a high ground clearance, and a load capacity of 1 ton.[12]
