Orwa is a small village of 134 hectares in Garhi Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Orwa depends on Partapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Orwa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Orwa's pin code is 327032[4], and village code is 03422200. The area of Orwa is segregated as 3 hectares irrigated area, 35 hectares unirrigated, the 70 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 4 hectare area not available for cultivation.
