Orem is a city in Utah County in the state of Utah, United States, located in the state's northern region. It is located roughly 45 miles (72 kilometres) south of Salt Lake City, in the vicinity of the cities of Provo, Lindon, and Vineyard. Orem is a large city in the Provo-Orem, Utah Metropolitan Area, which encompasses all of Utah and Juab counties. It is the county seat of Utah County. As of 2019, the city's population was estimated to be 97,828, but in 2010, the population was 88,328, ranking it fifth biggest in the state of Utah. Utah Valley University is situated in the city of Orem, in the state of Utah.

The city of Orem advertises itself as "Family City USA." Forbes magazine ranked it as the sixth greatest location to raise a family in 2010. Because of the large number of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Provo-Orem area, Time magazine named the region the greatest location to live for spiritual well-being in the United States.
