Olubukola Christianah Dada is a Nigerian academic and researcher. She is a Professor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics of Kwara State University, Malete, Nigeria.[1]

Life

Dada earned her Bachelor's degree in Special Education and English from the University of Ibadan. She later obtained her Master's degree and Ph.D. in Special Education from the same institution.

She served as the Head of the Department of Special Education and Director, General Studies and Institute of Education also at Kwara State University.[2]

She was promoted to be a Professor and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics of Kwara State University.[1]

Publications

Dada has written about Prader Willi syndrome.[3] authored three well-cited books and published more than 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals.[4] Her research interests include learners with special needs and disorder that impact on their learning. Dada is the first female professor to deliver an inaugural lecture at Kwara State University. She spoke about the rights of people with disabilities to be treated equally.[5]

Dada has received several awards and honors for her academic achievements, including: - Best M.Ed Special Education Student - Certificate of Honour from the Rehabilitation Education Students Association (R.E.S.A.) - Appreciation Letter for her role in the 30th-anniversary celebration of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo - Commendation Letter for her contributions to various ad-hoc committees
