Olga De Obaldia is a Panamanian novelist, lawyer, and dignitary that has worked on government transparency. She is a member of the De Obaldia Family.
Work
Since 2003, De Obaldia has worked in the NGOs sector managing several projects. She was also the Executive Director of the Foundation for the Development of Citizen Freedom.[1] She has also worked for one of the Panamanian newspapers, La Prensa.[2] She is now serving as the Director of the International Transparency Chapter in Panama.[3][4]
Books
She began her writing career by writing collective novels such as "Mas que ContArte" and "Los Recien Llegados. In 2015 she wrote her first novel by the Name of "Almas Urbanas" pr Urban Souls in English. The book won the fifth version of the Diplomatic Prize in Literary Creation. In 2017, De Obaldia wrote her second novel by the name of "Cuentos Elementales" or Elemental Stories in English. The book also won the Maria Sanchez Prize.[5][6]
Movie
Olga De Obaldia participated in a film called On Assignment with Richard Engel staring Richard Engel, when they filmed in Panama.
