Oleg Zhdanov born on March 30, 1966.

In 1987, he graduated from the Khmelnytskyi Higher Artillery Command College. From 1987 to 1992, he served in the Group of Soviet troops in Germany (since 1989 —Western Group of Soviet troops) in the East Germany in the city of Borna] ] (most likely in the 96th self-propelled artillery regiment 9th Tank Division (USSR)|9th Tank Division 1st Guards Tank Army ). Getting to serve in East Germany in the USSR was considered a success for an officer. For the next 5 years, he served in the 331st Self-propelled Artillery Regiment (the city of Perechyn Transcarpathian region) 128th Guards Mechanized Division 38th Army Corps Prycarpathian Military District.

From 1997 to 1999, Zhdanov taught at the National Defense Academy of Ukraine. Then he worked for five years (from 1999 to 2004) in the Main Directorate of Missile Troops and Artillery. From 2004 to 2007, his main place of service was the Main Operational Department General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.[1]. In 2007, with the rank of colonela, he retired to the reserve[2].

In 2015, he ran for the Kyiv Regional Council of the 7th convocation from the Samopomich association. Was not elected[3][4].

Media activity and blogging activity

Since 2016[5] regularly speaks not only on television.[6][7] and in the Ukrainian press[8][9], as well as in international media, in particular  — Russian, Belarusian[10][11] and Iraqi[12] press.

In 2012, he opened his own YouTube channel.[13]

Family

Since 1987, he has been married to Lyudmila Zhdanova. She holds the position of director of strategic development at the publishing house "Health of Ukraine". Son Volodymyr is a confectioner entrepreneur.
