Okky Alparessi, Master's degree|M.Si. (born 31 August, 1992) is a Indonesian lecturer, model and male beauty pageant titleholder.[1] He is currently :id:L-Men of The Year 2020|L-Men of The Year 2020 and will represent Indonesia in Mister Supranational 2021.[2][3]

Life and career

Early life

Okky Alparessi was born in Langkat, North Sumatra. Alparessi graduated from the :id:STIKOM The London School of Public Relations|London School of Public Relations & Business and later worked as a lecturer at the same campus. Alparessi also serves as Head of Marketing for the Postgraduate Program at the campus. He is a High Distinction recipient from Edith Cowan University, Australia.

Alparessi comes from the Malay people|Malay ethnic group. He has suffered from partial color blindness since childhood.

Pageantry

L-Men of The Year 2020

In 2020, Alparessi participated in the 14th edition of :id:L-Men of The Year 2020|L-Men of The Year 2020 held on October 8, 2020, in Jakarta, Indonesia with the theme Collaborative|#ColaBROrative.[4] The event was also attended by the winner of Puteri Indonesia 2019, Frederika Alexis Cull and :id:L-Men of The Year 2018|L-Men of The Year 2018, :id:Ivan Kabul|Ivandly Lie Kabul as judges.

At the end of the event, he was successfully announced as the winner.[5][6] He was named and replaced the winner of :id:L-Men of The Year 2019|L-Men of The Year 2019, :id:Radityo Wahyu Senoputro|Radityo Wahyu Senoputro, who previously competed in the 10th edition of Mister World 2019 held on August 23, 2019 at Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.

Through the event, he got a platform to create a social movement for people with color blindness. In 2020, Okky founded the :id:Warna|#WarnaLain community to campaign for the issue of color blind people in Indonesia. The community started through Instagram social media by regularly sharing information about color blindness.[7]

Mister Supranational 2021

As the winner of :id:L-Men of The Year 2020|L-Men of The Year 2020, Alparessi will represent Indonesia at the Mister Supranational 2021 pageant on August 22, 2021, in Strzelecki Park Amphitheater, Nowy Sącz, Lesser Poland Voivodeship|Małopolska, Poland,[8] where at the end of the event, Mister Supranational 2019|Nate Crnkovich of United States will trophy delivery to his new successor.
