Odin Aarvik Staveland (born December 14, 1985) is a Norwegian composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, video director and songwriter. He releases music under the artist name Odin.

Odin was born in Haugesund, Norway. He began his musical career as a drummer, playing in several bands in his teens. In 2004, he wrote the music for the Norwegian film ‘Ikke naken,’ with his father, Øyvind Staveland. He also wrote the music for four songs on Vamp's album Siste Stikk, released in 2005. He played piano, drums, and sang on the album, which has sold over 70,000 copies.

Since 2008, Odin has been a permanent member of Vamp, playing keyboards, drums, and vocals.

Odin has been nominated for a Spellemann Award as a composer and as a member of Vamp. Vamp also won the Spellemann Award for the album Siste Stikk in 2005. He is also the lead vocalist on Vamp's hit song "Liten fuggel."

Odin made his solo debut in 2015 with the album 'Mellom Husene[1]'. He released his second solo album, the critically acclaimed album 'Sillajass[2]' in 2020, commissioned for the festival Sildajazz. Odin played around 170 concerts with various projects in 2022 such as his solo project, Vamp, Kjartan Fløgstad Band, and Buicken.

In March 2023, he released the album 'Hoohahs and Catcalls[3]', a collaboration project with guitarist Bjørn Berge. It was his first release with English lyrics. The music can perhaps best be classified as "club blues."

On his solo projects, Odin has also experimented with music video expression with a fondness for dance. The video for "I stedet for punktum et hjerta[4]" was nominated in the Best Music Video category at the Grimstad Short Film Festival in 2021, and the video for 'Bullet Dance[5]' is all choreographed.

Odin writes music for theater and film, and he is a sought-after producer and musician for other artists. In 2023, he produced and arranged Øyvind Staveland's first solo album, 'Lipper'. In 2022, he composed, played, and produced the music for the play 'En flyktning krysser sitt spor' ('A Fugitive Crosses His Tracks' by Aksel Sandemose) at Haugesund Teater.[6] He is currently composing music for a new piece to be staged at Haugesund Teater in 2024.

In 2024, Odin is one of the participants in the Norwegian television show Hver gang vi møtes.[7]
