Early Life and Education

Obiefune Onwudinjo was born on June 1, 1989, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, to a nuclear family as part of five siblings. His parents are indigenous to Awka, Umudioka in Awka-South Local Government Area, Anambra State. Obiefune grew up as a child in Port Harcourt, where his early life was shaped by an energetic environment that fostered curiosity, creativity, and ambition.

He attended Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS) of the University of Port Harcourt, completing his secondary education in 2006. Following his developing interest in technology and digital media, he relocated to Lagos in 2007 to attend the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT), where he completed a diploma in Information Technology, specializing in Web Development, Databases, and IT Fundamentals.

Obiefune moved to Malaysia in 2009 to pursue higher education. In 2013, he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with a Communications major from the University of East London's off-campus center in Malaysia. His studies provided technical expertise and global perspective, laying the foundation for his entrepreneurial and digital marketing ventures.

After graduation, Obiefune traveled back to Nigeria in 2014 to serve the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program. He was sent to the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in Abuja, where he contributed on projects for rural energy access support, which again fueled his passion for technology as a tool for social change.

Early Career and Transition to Tech

After the completion of his national service, Obiefune was employed by Blue Camel Energy, a renewable energy solutions company based in Abuja, as a Technology and Business Associate. Between 2014 and 2015, he supported business development activities, technology scouting, and client relations management and gained practical experience in the renewable energy sector and in the intersection of business, technology, and community development.

In 2015, he stepped into the digital sector by becoming a Digital and Technology Associate at Venia Group in Lagos. Obiefune managed digital marketing campaigns, SEO, SEM, and social media advertising at Venia Group, enhancing brand presence and lead generation for clients. He also implemented automated lead generation systems and taught internal teams how to use CRM tools, further deepening his experience in digital marketing and technology management.

Move to South Africa, Master’s Degree, and Product Management

In pursuit of additional learning and international experience, Obiefune moved to South Africa in 2019 to study for a Master's degree in Machine Learning at the University of Johannesburg. While he pursued his studies, he worked as a Software Product Manager for Affluence Oak, a technology company with experience in mobile applications and digital platforms.

Between 2019 and 2022, Obiefune worked with a team of experienced developers, marketers, and growth strategists to conceptualize, design, and implement several successful digital products:

  • Smart Maid: Home service app ordered on demand on Android and iOS, connecting users with domestic help within seconds. Smart Maid featured on top platforms like SABC, eTV's Morning Show, and Kaya FM Breakfast Show.
  • Affluence Learning: An e-learning platform with over 500+ registered students and teachers and 160+ enrolled students, offering a flexible learning environment and teaching process in various fields.
  • Affluence Quiz: A mobile quiz application with 60,000+ registered users and 5,000+ active users, allowing the users to gauge their levels of knowledge in various areas of education.

Move to Canada and AdTaxi Canada

Obiefune relocated to Canada in 2022 to continue developing his entrepreneurial dream. In February 2024, he formed AdTaxi Canada as a business unit of TIL Network Inc., where he serves as the Founder and CEO. AdTaxi Canada is a forward-thinking AdTech company transforming rideshare vehicles into dynamic mobile advertising devices.

With Uber and Lyft side door vehicle wraps, rearview windscreen ads, in-car advertising, and rooftop digital signage, Obiefune is revolutionizing out-of-home (OOH) advertising in Canada and North America.
