Nouhad Dammous was born in Lebanon in 1933.[1] He is famously known as the father in the field of hospitality and has been presented with numerous awards and appreciations throughout his life.[1] In 1957, he was appointed director of the first hospitality school in Lebanon; although he did not stop there, he kept working hard and went on to become director of the Hospitality Management Institute of Dekwaneh, Beirut, after which he resigned from the post in 1996.[1][2] During the time of his directorship, Dammous, also took part in creating schools in Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.[1] He was known to have worked for the people of Lebanon, believing that the young talent that it could change the future of Lebanon.[1]
He dedicated a huge portion of his life to empowering hospitality across the nation.[1] He launched a project-like hospitality service that focused on providing people with love and care.[1] He was a firm believer in technology, and he visited my countries, including Oman, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.[2] He, as the editor in chief of Hospitality News Middle East, would always talk about upcoming opportunities and trends with increasing technology.[3]
He also held the title of assistant professor in hotel management and higher education, which led him to successfully become the director of hospitality management schools and institutes all around Lebanon and neighboring Arab Countries like Iraq, Syria, and Saudi Arabia.[4] His achievements allowed him to be awarded an Honoris Causa.[2] He kept working hard to promoting hospitality education and other schooling services all across Arab countries like Syria, Libya, Iraq, Jordan, etc.[2] His efforts motivated many to walk under his footsteps to serve mankind.[3]
Dommous`s efforts to shape the hospitality industry are still an example to this day.[1] He was a very active member of many organizations in his last days, and his efforts paid off after his recognition for his contribution to the field of hospitality by the president of the Republic of Lebanon, receiving the National Order of the Cedar in 2013.[2][3]

Achievements
Throughout his life, Nouhad Dommous achieved many things and served in numerous companies and countries. Some of few noteworthy achievement are listed below.
- His worked in the Hospitality Field for so long that it led him to design and prepare descriptions for various hospitality degrees across the nation including BP, BTS, TS, LT LMA and BT.[4]
- He was appointed as presented of the UNTDC - G.D.V.T.E project.[4]
- He was a major figure in the advisory committee of Arab countries like Oman, U.A.E, Syria, Libya and Saudi Arabia which promoted tourism in these countries.[4]
- From 1976 to 1980, he was appointed the president and director general of a joint project for many tourism resorts.[4]
