Niraj Sinha IPS, is the 14th Director general of police of Jharkhand Police.[1] [2]
Career
He is a 1987 batch IPS officer.[3][4] He has been appointed as Director General of Police (DGP) of Jharkhand, on February 11,2021.[5] He also holds the additional charge of DG- Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB). Prior to his appointment as DGP, Jharkhand; he held the charge of Director General- Jharkhand Armed Police(JAP).[6][7]
Award
He has been honoured with the Police Medal for Gallantry by the President of India for "displaying conspicuous gallantry, courage and devotion to duty of high order" as SP Buxar.[8]
