Nion Abeo is an English alternative rock band formed in Bournemouth, United Kingdom in 2008. The band was initially founded by Tobias Fitton and Lawrence Goodhand-Tait, with Adam Theobald later the same year. Goodhand-Tait left the band in 2011.

Genre

Reviewers have struggled to assign a genre to the music, quoting rock, experiemental rock & post rock. Film Industry Network classed the sound as alternative rock in an article in 2010.[1]

History

Nion Abeo formed in 2008 with members Tobias Fittion (vocals & guitar), Lawrence Goodhand-Tait (Bass guitar) and Adam Theobald (Drums). The band was very active in the early years, playing live throught the South of England.

November 2010 saw the band perform the Echo Showcase[2] in Westbourne, Dorset, along with Saturday Sun.

In 2011 they undertook a small tour, playing under the name 'Icarus 1'[3] including a support slot at Southampton's The Joiners for Scottish band Sucioperro.

In 2011 Goodhand-Tait stepped down as bassist and left the band.
