Nina Isabelle Wilson (Born 10 June 1999) is an English footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Scottish Women's Premier League team Hibernian FC. She previously played for Sheffield United, London City Lionesses, Watford FC, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Lewes.
Senior Career
Brighton & Hove Albion FC, 2016-18
Wilson debuted for Brighton & Hove Albion at the age of 16 in March 2016. She went on to win the 2015/16 FA Women's Premier League - securing promotion to the FA WSL 2 and appearing in the FA WSL Spring Series. Wilson then appeared on the bench for Brighton & Hove Albion's runner up 2017-18 FA WSL 2 campaign.
Lewes FC, 2018-19
Wilson signed for Lewes in 2018, playing in the FA Women's Championship.
Watford FC, 2019-20
Joining Watford in Summer 2019, playing most games in the season.[1]. The 2019-20 season was cut short in March 2020 due to the lockdown during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
F.H.L, 2020
During the national lockdown in the United Kingdom, Wilson signed a professional contract with Fjardabyggd / Höttur / Leiknir based in Reyðarfjörður, Iceland. She made 6 appearances in the 1. Deild Kvenna[2]
London City Lionesses, 2021
In January 2021, Wilson joined London City Lionesses in the FA Women's Championship[3]
Sheffield United, 2021-23
Wilson joined Sheffield United in August 2021[4], making appearances in the FA Women's Championship, the Women's FA Cup, and FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup.[5][6] In February 2023 Wilson joined Wolverhampton Wanderers FC on loan[7] before leaving Sheffield in May 2023.
Wilson was a team mate of former player Maddy Cusack, who died in September 2023. When an investigation into her death was launched, Wilson released a statement saying ‘Time to do better football’.[8]
Hibernian, 2023-24
Wilson joined Hibernian FC in July 2023[9][10], playing in the Scottish Women's Premier League. She wears the #44 shirt.[11]
On her league debut in August 2023, Wilson saved a penalty against league winners Glasgow City.[12]
