Nikolai J. Deleff is a Canadian author and illustrator born in Yellowknife, NT, Canada.[1] He has written and illustrated two children's picture books, "Bear and Ivory" (2022), and "Superdog Jake: And a Whole Lotta' Cake" (2023). [2]

In the winter of 2021, Nikolai was hospitalized for a period of over a month and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. During the time he was sick, he drew and painted, forming the initial sketches and story of his first children's picture book "Bear and Ivory" (2022).[3] He released the book in Yellowknife, NT, on September 22, 2022, and visited several local schools for readings.[4]

Nikolai's work has been featured, presented, and sold in local galleries, events, in association with "The Gallery on 47th"[5], Yellowknife Ice castle[6], NWT literacy[7], and NWT Northwords.
