The Nigerian Environmental Society is a professional, non-profit organization with its headquarters in Nigeria. The society works to conserve, advance, and sustain the environment while advancing the field of environmental science and engineering, both in theory and in practice. they promote and foster the interest of environmental scientist and engineers.[1][2][3]
Nigerian Environmental Society main area of focus is on Environmental Pollution, Water and Sanitation, Energy and Public Health. Their activities are advocacy, public-private advisory and public education/awareness. They achieve these activities through the following strategies: aggressive out-door campaigns; media interaction and press conferences; public seminars, lectures and workshops; membership of government technical committees.[4]
