Nicole Buffett is well known for selling her paintings as NFTs on NFT marketplaces like Opensea.[1]

Buffett was born in Los Angeles California in 1976. She and her sisters were the first identical triplets to be born in LA. She grew up in San Francisco with her parents and grandmother.[2] She is the granddaughter of Warren Buffett.[3] She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002 and a Masters of Fine Arts in 2004 from the San Francisco Art Institute. She learned traditional Chinese brushwork during an independent study with Chinese artist Xu Bing.[4]

Nicole was featured on Oprah in April 2006 during an episode about Class in America.[5][6] In April 2021, Nicole was featured in the Los Angeles Magazine for her work using holographic NFTs to help protect ocean ecosystems.[7] In 2021, Nicole was featured in Fortune Magazine as one of the top 50 NFT creators for her work creating NFT of her paintings.[8] In September 2021, Nicole was featured in Time magazine for her work on NFT art with her boyfriend Justin Aversano.[9] In September 2021, Nicole was featured in CryptoGlobe for her work with NFTs.[10] In November 2021, Nicole was featured in an article at Coinbase.com for her work with NFTs which "represent a hearkening back to ancient tribal ways of trading as currency."[11] In December 2021, Nicole was featured in an article at Coindesk for her use of NFTs as a way to protect the environment.[12]
