Niclas Nyrensten (born January 23, 1975) is a Swedish entrepreneur and investor, best known as the co-founder of the outdoor apparel company RevolutionRace. He has also been active as an angel investor following his departure from the company's operational leadership.

Career

In 2013, Nyrensten co-founded RevolutionRace with his wife, Pernilla Nyrensten, in Borås, Sweden. The company focused on delivering high-quality outdoor clothing directly to consumers through a digital, e-commerce-driven model. Under their leadership, the brand expanded to over 35 markets and became one of Sweden's fastest-growing apparel companies.[1]

In 2017, private equity firm Altor partnered with the founders to support the company's international growth.[2]

RevolutionRace was listed on the Nasdaq Stockholm exchange in June 2021, achieving a valuation of over USD 1 billion at the time of its IPO.[3][4]

Following the IPO, the Nyrenstens gradually reduced their operational involvement. In 2021, they made a partial exit from the company and announced plans to focus on investing together through a new private vehicle.[5]

In May 2024, Niclas Nyrensten formally declined re-election to the company's board of directors, citing a planned relocation with his family to Spain.[4]

Investments

Following his exit from RevolutionRace, Nyrensten founded Nyrensten Invest, a private investment company focused on early-stage businesses across various sectors.

Personal life

Nyrensten resides in Mallorca, Spain, with his family.
